Obedience Training: Level One

Family Manners Class is Beginner Basic Obedience for Adult Dogs

What is this class?

The Finger Lakes Pet Resort Family Manners Class is level 1 beginner class for adolescent puppies & adult dogs (over 4 months of age) who have taken no previous training classes. Family Manners Class provides training of practical skills to improve the bond between people and their canine companions through positive reinforcement. Some of the real-life skills introduced in Finger Lakes Pet Resort's Family Manners Class are settling, coming when called, walking politely on leash, politely greeting people and more. Our Family Manners class will teach you how to train these skills using effective, reward-based methods. Reward-based training methods minimize the use of punishment and are fun for both you and your dog! Please note: this class is not a behavior modification class and will not address behaviors such as excessive barking, resource guarding, reactivity towards dogs or people, or aggression towards dogs or people.
